Hi everyone.

Since our last post we have been traveling up the west coast of the South Island. We spent the last several days with Ned, a friend who is working in Franz Josef as a glacier guide. Ned took us on a private two-day tour out on the glacier and to a hut up in the hills. Today we are in Punakaiki checking out the Pancake Rocks. Hope everyone is well, and here are some more photos.

Love,
Sara and Gareth

Getting into the really spiky bits of the glacier.

More ice-walkin'.
View of the glacier from our hut, roughly 500 metres above the ice.

Tiny little four-bunk hut that we had all to ourselves, fully equipped with everything you'd need for a long stay.

Sara doing a graceful crevasse hop (don't worry mothers, it's not as bad as it looks).

Ok, we are out of time, so we'll add more later. All the best!
